What is MyGiglists?

MyGigLists is Lagos’ premier online platform for booking top-tier, verified musical talent for any type of event. Whether you’re planning a wedding, corporate function, private party, or brand activation, we connect you with professional musicians who deliver exceptional entertainment.

How does MyGiglists work?

Our platform allows clients/employers to browse through a curated list of talented musicians, view profiles, listen to samples, check availability, and book instantly—safe, secure, and stress-free. Musicians also use MyGigLists to showcase their skills and receive direct gig opportunities.

FOR clients/employers

How do I book a musician?

  • You first need to be registered on the website to book a musician. Click the “REGISTER” button at the top right of the website, fill in your detials and select the employer checkbox.
  • Verify your email and documentation.
  • After you have been verified, you can start booking musicians by simply searching or browsing categories on our website, select your preferred gig from a musician by clicking on the gig name, view the gig details, and click “Hire me for a gig”. You will be guided through event details, payment, and confirmation.

Are the musicians verified?

Yes. All musicians on MyGigLists go through a verification and approval process to ensure professionalism, quality, and reliability.

How early should I book a musician?

We recommend booking at least 2–4 weeks ahead for popular dates. However, some musicians offer last-minute availability depending on their schedule.

What if the musician cancels?

In the rare case of a cancellation, our support team will help you find a similar or better replacement immediately. You may also be entitled to a refund according to our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Can I communicate with the musician before the event?

Yes. After booking, you can chat securely through the MyGigLists messaging system to discuss requirements, logistics, or special requests.

How do I make payments?

Payments are made securely online using debit cards, bank transfers, or other supported digital payment options. Your payment is held safely and released only after the performance is completed.

Do you offer packages for brands or corporate events?

Yes. We provide tailored entertainment solutions for brand activations, corporate functions, product launches, and experiential marketing. Contact our team for custom packages.

FOR MUSICIANS

How do I sign up as a musician on MyGiglists?

  • Click the “REGISTER” button at the top right of the website, fill in your detials and ensure the musician checkbox is selected.
  • Verify your email and documentation.
  • Fill in your profile and portfolio.
  • After you have been verified, you can start submitting gigs for verification. Our team will review your application before approval.

How do musicians get paid?

Payment is automatically sent to the musician’s bank account after the event is completed. We ensure fair, prompt, and transparent payouts.

What are the requirements to join?

We expect professionalism, quality performance skills, reliability, and a willingness to provide a great client/employer experience.

Can musicians set their own prices?

Yes. Musicians set their booking fees. Our team may guide to help ensure competitive and attractive pricing.

Can I book multiple musicians for one event?

Absolutely. You can book a band, DJ, instrumentalist, choir, or a mix of talents—depending on your event style and budget.

What if I have an issue during or after the event?

Our Dispute Resolution Team is always available to assist. We ensure fair service and customer protection for both clients/employers and musicians.

Is my payment information safe?

Yes. MyGigLists uses secure, industry-standard payment gateways and data protection protocols to keep your information safe.

Do you offer refunds?

Refunds depend on the Cancellation \& Refund Policy. If your event changes or the musician is unable to perform, we support seamless options for replacements or refunds.

Is there a service fee?

Yes. A small platform fee applies to bookings to support verification, customer support, secure payments, and platform maintenance. Fees are clearly displayed before you confirm your booking.
